It is 2005. Thomas Smith has fallen into a deep depression after the death of his wife. His former army comrade and friend, Phil Williams, finds him on top of his Las Vegas house, drunk on self-pity. Phil invites him to stay at his house where he will enroll Thomas in rehab.
