The story takes place in 1993, in Las Venturas. After finally figuring out a criminal's identity (he was smart and it was really tricky, he was covering his tracks well), and then chasing him across town ("it was as close as we got"), protagonist Francis Wallace, a LVPD officer got into a car crash. He is now suffering from amnesia and he needs to recover his memory after the head injuries and catch the criminal that is taunting him.
