I recommend playing with custom skins. I have put together two packs.
If you find the quality difference between the custom characters and the other peds weird, download a full skin pack that replaces all peds with HD skins, and the story characters with the skins I have chosen; you just have to copy the "skins" folder to your modloader folder: https://www.mediafire.com/file/xysru2k4wewdp23/vampirewarsskinmods.rar/file \note that you might need to install a stream memory fix for your game to run so many high quality models
