How to make a Second-Person Perspective

By RaXo (old account)

Have you ever played Driver: San Fransisco?
If you did, then you might know about that one mission where:
You are controlling Tanner, but Tanner has the view of someone behind him.
(Link to the video)

So I found a mission that has specifically what I needed, driving a car,
but camera is locked to a different vehicle, after playing,
I realized that I should try to use this bug to make Second-Person Driving.

And so after a months and months of experimenting-
Hah no it only took me 7 minutes, I finally found the way to do such thing,
but unfortunately, it only works for driving, for now....

And so after you wasted your time reading 3 paragraphs,
time to actually read the tutorial.

-HOW TO MAKE A SECOND-PERSON PERSPECTIVE-
Step 1: Add Objectives > Special Player Objectives > Teleport To Car > (Set up the car you want the AI camera to drive) > Select Seat > Passenger > Ready
Step 2: Add Actors > (Set up the actor you want to drive the AI camera car) > Animation: Sit in vehicle > Follow Player or Attack Player > (Set up the actor stats) > Ready
Step 3: Add Objectives > Special Player Objectives > Teleport To Car > (Set up the car the player will drive) > Drive-By on (so player can't exit the car) > Ready

And there you have it, a Second-Person Perspective driving, but unfortunately the AI in DYOM is not quite good,
so the AI camera might stop chasing you and ram the wall instead.
And that's it, that's how you make a Second-Person Perspective in DYOM.
